Uluwatu Temple Rule – To visit Uluwatu Temple, visitors are required to follow the entry rules that apply to this holy place. Following the rules for entering the Uluwatu Temple is a form of respect for this holy place and for the religious beliefs of the Balinese people.

Dress modestly

Monkey in Uluwatu Temple

However, even though they are considered sacred, visitors are expected to be careful around these monkeys. Some of the monkeys at Uluwatu Temple are known to be quite naughty and can steal luggage such as glasses, hats and food from unwary visitors. Visitors should not feed or touch these monkeys, as this may interfere with their behavior and health.
